This piece was premiered on March 3, 2026 at the Auditorium of the Mulhouse Conservatory as part of the performance-concert Cellographies, with Amicie Ganvert on the cello.
The title of the piece Κελλοΐχνος — “trace of mooring” in Greek — celebrates the idea of an encounter between the sonic field and the pictorial field, like a shoreline where the musician and the visual artist meet, as the sea meets the sand.
The trace they leave together suggests that the performance will later give rise to an exhibition making this trace enduring, visible, and audible.
The work sets in resonance the tape — composed of a progression of harmonic spectra, like an oceanic halo — and the cello, whose melodic lines draw a path across the sonic waters, like the wake of a ship.
Cette pièce a été créée le 3 mars 2026 à l’Auditorium du Conservatoire de Mulhouse dans le cadre du spectacle Cellographies, avec Amicie Ganvert au violoncelle.
Le titre de cette pièce Κελλοΐχνος— « trace d’accostage » en grec — célèbre l’idée de la rencontre entre le champ sonore et le champ pictural, à la manière d’un littoral où le musicien et le plasticien se rejoignent, comme la mer et le sable.
La trace qu’ils laissent ensemble suggère que la performance donnera lieu, ultérieurement, à une exposition rendant cette trace pérenne, visible et audible.
L’œuvre met en résonance la bande — composée d’une progression de spectres harmoniques, tel un halo océanique — et le violoncelle, dont les lignes mélodiques dessinent un sentier sur les eaux sonores, comme le sillage d’un navire.
